A survey was conducted a few years ago as to the
reason why people do not contribute to non-profit and charitable
organizations. The answer: they were never asked. When you read this
consider that you are being asked to make a
monetary donation to the Habitat for Humanity, Pike County, PA.

| Donations of Land |
Our biggest concern is the
lack of future home sites!
To date we have not needed to purchase land. If we are forced to buy
property, the cost of the houses will increase dramatically creating an
additional burden on the future Habitat home owner. We urge all
property owners in Pike county to help us find building lots suitable
for single family homes. Of course the value of the land will be
registered as a charitable donation. |

| Donations of Supplies, Materials and Tools |
|
We are always in need of supplies, materials and
certain types of tools and equipment. If it can be used in a house we
will accept it. Here is an example of the types of things we need:
- 2x4s, 2x6s, 2x8s, and 2x10s
- Windows, doors and insulation as long as they
meet the requirements of the new building code
- Floor tile, if enough square footage to tile at
least one bathroom or the kitchen.
- Plumbing and electrical supplies that meet code
At the present time we are in desperate
need of an air compressor. It has to be large
enough to operate 2/3 air guns at same time.

back to you and evaluate what you have to donate.
